I have chosen public relations as a concentration, because I love interacting with people and by talking with them, I can give the organization I am working for free publicity by word of mouth. If I believe in an organization and really care about what they promote, then I would definitely want publicize it to anyone listening or reading a newspaper.
Public Relations allows me to deal with the public and not just sit behind a desk from 9 to 5. I also chose this concentration to learn about special event planning. Who does not like to put together functions for people to enjoy while publicizing an organization or company? The freedom to have creativity and to transform an idea from paper to reality is worth the long hours and no sleep :)
